Ruby Lee Gotreaux Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jennings: The family and friends of Ruby Lee Gotreaux are mourning the loss of their mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was called from this earthly life on May 14, 2022, at the age of 62. Ruby was born on February 1, 1960, to Wesley Gotreaux and Ruby Breaux Gotreaux. Ruby worked as a salesperson for a nursery and was homemaker who dedicated her life to the care of her family which she adored. She loved gardening, cats, and enjoyed going to festivals. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ruby was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Ruby is survived by her son, Heath Stutes of Jennings, LA; her two granddaughters, Alexis Sonnier and Blakelyn Paige Kratzer; her two sisters, Geneva Guillory (Ronnie) of Jennings, LA, Brenda Gary of Jennings, LA; her three brothers, J.W. Gotreaux (Darlene) of Moss Bluff, LA, Bobby Gotreaux of Deridder, LA, “Peanut” Gotreaux of Jennings, LA; as well as numerous other relatives & friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley & Ruby Gotreaux; her nieces, Donette Gary, Starlett Gotreaux; her brother-in-law, Michael Gary. Funeral Services to honor Ruby’s life will be held at the Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 3:00 PM with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Those chosen to honor her as her pallbearers will be Todd Gary, Dustin Gotreaux, J.W. Gotreaux, Heath Stutes, & Brian Plaissance.
