Gueydan: Heaven gained another precious angel on Thursday, March 17, 2022, when Kyndall Grace Johnson was called home in Lafayette, LA surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held in the Gueydan Chapel of Matthews and Son Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 officiated by Pastor Peter Joseph and Rev. Gregory Andrews Kyndall leaves behind to cherish her memory her mom and dad, Chastity Dugas Johnson and Blain Johnson; four brothers Sanchez Wilson, Tre Wilson, Cameron Istre, and Zane Johnson; one sister with the honor of being her Godmother Alexus Dawson Johnson; a niece K’hlani White, all of Gueydan, LA; two aunts, Patsy Wilson of Gueydan, LA, Kylee Johnson of Kaplan, LA; her Godfather Troy Wilson, Sr. (Menyon) of Sunset, LA; uncles Roland Wilson Jr ( Mary Jane ); Brandon Comeaux of Georgia, Doris Wilson (Rhoda) of KS, Shawn Theriot of Gueydan, LA and Cory Theriot of Gueydan, LA; maternal grandparents Jeanette Sonnier and Roland Wilson, Sr. (Sue) both of Gueydan, LA; paternal grandparents Dwain Johnson and Stephanie Johnson of Kaplan, LA; also by Godmothers Angelique Williams and Racheal Vallery. She is preceded in death by her aunts Shanna Rodriguez and Lyndale Wilson. Kyndall was a true gift with an infectious smile, and loved “spa days” at home with her mom, cuddles with her sister and brothers, kisses from her daddy, even though she hated his beard; and daily prayers with her parents and the nurses who cared for her. Although our little warrior princess’s time with us was short, her sweet smile and the impact she left on our hearts will be remembered forever. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the incredible staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Women and Chidlren’s Hospital in Lafayette, LA for their dedication to giving “Lil-Lil” the best care; with special thanks to Ashley for lovingly caring for Kyndall. The kindness and compassion you showed our family will always be remembered. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the chapel of Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Gueydan, LA beginning at 10:00 am until service at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers serving her will be her father, Blain Johnson, brothers Sanchez Wilson, Tre Wilson, Cameron Istre, and Zane Johnson; and Godfather Troy Wilson.
