James “Jimmy” Miller Jennings: Jimmy was born in Jennings, LA on December 30, 1942, to Martin Bruce Miller and Hannah Bergeaux Miller and he was called from this life on December 24, 2021 at the age of 78. Jimmy was the owner and operator of Supreme Contractors for many years until his retirement. He liked playing Cajun Music, and traveling, as well as spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy is survived by beloved wife of 60 years, Veronica “Faye” Landry Miller of Jennings, LA; his sons, James “Jim” Miller (Pam) of Jennings, LA, Carl Miller (Lisa) of Jennings, LA; his sisters, Elanine (Russell) Crochet of Gott’s Cove, LA, Delores (Johnny) Armentor of Jennings, LA, Debbie (Kirk) Davis of Jennings, Janet (Kenneth) Lopez of Jennings, LA; his four grandchildren, Mandi Batey, Tasha Victorian, Hollie LeBlanc, and Bart Miller; his eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Martin & Hannah Miller; his grandson, Carl “C.J.” Miller, Jr.; his brother, Jerry Miller; his sister, Lisa M. Benoit; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Edward & Mabel Landry. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church for James “Jimmy” Miller of Jennings, LA on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM with Father Keith Pellerin officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Those chosen to honor James as his pallbearers will be James Miller, Carl Miller, Bart Miller, Keith Batey, Ferrell LeBlanc, and Brian Victorian. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl “C.J” Miller, Jr., Rylan Miller, Cooper Batey, Adian Victorian, Keno Lopez, and Russell Crochet. Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home beginning on Sunday, December 26th from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM. The family request that visitation resume on Monday, December 27th at 8:00 AM until the time of his funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
