Hazel Marie LeBlanc Crochet Jennings: A Mass of Christian burial for Hazel Marie LeBlanc Crochet of Jennings, LA will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings, LA on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM with Father Trey Ange officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM and continue until the time of her Funeral Mass. Hazel will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Hazel was born on December 10, 1931, to Maurice LeBlanc and Arcin Istre LeBlanc in Lake Arthur, LA and she was called to her Heavenly Father on April 13, 2022, at the beautiful age of 90. She was a homemaker and retired nurse who dedicated her life to the care of her family. Hazel was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Woodman of the World. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and doing puzzles in her spare time. Her greatest joys came from helping others, and spending time with her family. She was a loving and kind woman who will be dearly missed by all who know and loved her. Hazel is survived by her two sons, David Fontenot of Jennings, LA, Craig Fontenot of Jennings, LA; her grandchildren, Dusty Fontenot of Minot, ND, Josha Fontenot of Jennings, LA, Justin Savoie of Kaplan, LA; her great grandchildren, Peyton Tripp Fontenot of Minot, ND, Josha Fontenot of Minot, ND. Hazel now rejoices in heaven with her parents, Maurice & Arcin LeBlanc; her sisters, Weava Newman, & Alice Roy; her brothers, Gilbert LeBlanc, Wilson LeBlanc.
