Glenn Bourque

Gueydan: Glenn was born in Gueydan, LA on April 16, 1946 to Sidney Bourque and Dorothy Fisher Bourque. He was called to his Heavenly Father on April 19, 2019. Glenn served our Nation Honorable in the United States Army. He worked for BP Oil until his retirement in 2000. Glenn also loved working at the Clothes Closet. He, in his spare time, also enjoyed golfing and hunting. Glenn loved serving the lord and was a Deacon and Music Leader at the First Baptist Church in Gueydan. Most of all, he loved spending quality time with his grandchildren. Glenn was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary L. Bourque of Gueydan, LA; sons, Damon Glenn (Wanda) Bourque of Woodworth, LA, Timothy Shea (Kelly) Bourque of Copperopolis, CA, William H. (Michelle) Platt of Belle Chasse, LA, and Anthony Platt of Galliano, LA; daughter, Michelle Broussard of Gueydan, LA; sister, Ora Mae Wall of Gueydan, LA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Dorothy F. Bourque; first wife, Glenda Bourque; and brothers, John Paul Bourque and Orin Kenneth Bourque. A Service of Christian Burial for Glenn Bourque, 73 of Gueydan, LA will be held at First Baptist Church in Gueydan, LA on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Brother Troy Duhon officiating. Glenn will be honored with Full Military Rites. Visitation will commence at First Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 23rd from 8:00 AM until time of his service. Graveside services for Glenn will commence at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, April 23rd at Campground Cemetery in Glenmora, LA located on Melder Rd.
