Georgia Mae Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Georgia Mae Smith Jennings: Georgia loved going to church, she attended Reeved C.M.E. Temple. After Surviving Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane she went to school and trained as a Key Punch Operator. Georgia relocated to Detroit, Michigan where she worked as a Key Punch Operator. Georgia also enjoyed working at Calcasieu Parish s=School District with the Head Start Program. Upon returning to Lake Charles, she attended Pleasant Grove Church with her daughter Quintrella. Georgia loved cowboy movies, dancing, and socializing. She especially loved video chatting with her daughter Quintrella and grandson Saadiq. She also enjoyed spending time with Ms. Cynthia’s grandchildren. The effects of Hurricane Delta relocated her to New Iberia, Louisiana with Ms. Cynthia until her death. Georgia is preceded in death by her daughters, Alisa and Angela. Georgia is survived by her daughter, Quintrella Smith and her grandson, Saadiq Uddeen. Her nieces Mija Gill, Megan Guidry, Meniq’ O’Connell and Ronald Guidry, Jr. Her great nieces and nephews Krystal Pasquarella, Kandice Pasquarella, Sacoria Guidry, Darrin Guidry, Katie Olinsky, and Samuel Gregory. Her sister, Bertha Rose Gregory of Costa Mesa, California, and her brother, Ronald Guidry, Sr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana. A gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Matthews & Sn Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the time of her Service at 1:00 PM.
