When the sun rose in Lake Charles, Louisiana on the morning of August 27,1985 it brought with, it a new day and a new life. Our beloved Fernadez "Duke" was born to Nona Berry and Gerald Norman. He graduated from Jennings High School, his competitive edge, like his wit and his tongue never needed to be sharpened. He enjoyed listening to music on his laptop always, showed interest in in music from a young age. He showed his most interest in rap music especially Tupac. He enjoyed riding in different types of cars, watching movies, and ordering food and sodas. He was a character, loved to dress and wearing his Jordans. Fernadez "Duke" is survived by his father, Mr. Gerald Norman, sister Antionette Marie Delce, and his brother Nikko Dean Berry; aunts Vergie Davis of Jennings, LA., Denise Dispany and Marianne Smith of Beaumont, Texas, Bertha Dwason and Carol Hebert of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mable Daigle of San Francisco, CA; uncles Earl (Nell) Cormier of San Francisco, CA, and Antonie "Reco" Dispany of Jennings, LA; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Fernadez "Duke" was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Nona Berry. A Gathering of family and friends will be held Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA beginning on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM and continuing until the time of his Service at 1:00 PM.
