Dionne Hebert Sharp On Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021, Dionne Marie Hebert Sharp passed from peaceful sleep to God’s loving arms. Dionne was born April 30, 1957, and raised in Jennings, Louisiana, attending Our Lady Immaculate and Goretti High School. Dionne was known by all who met her as a caring heart and gentle soul who always had a kind word to say to whomever she encountered. She lived in Jennings, Lafayette, and the Atlanta, Georgia area before moving to New Rochelle, New York to be a nanny to two beautiful children. She continued to work in childcare as a nanny for several other families, eventually finding her way back to the south in Duluth, Georgia. There, Dionne earned a Bachelors’ Degree in hospitality and management that brought her to Lawrenceville, Georgia to pursue a career in restaurant and hotel hospitality. Dionne is survived by her husband of 28 years, Douglas Chambers Sharp. She is also survived by her four sisters Michelle Monceaux (Herman) of Lake Charles, Anne Louise Monceaux (Dale) of Batavia, Ohio, Lisa Reed (Wayne) of Cleveland, Georgia, and Laurie Fear (Randy) of Welsh. Dionne is also survived by her Godchild, Dr. Tyler Reed of Buford, Georgia, and 13 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dionne was preceded in death by her brother, Richard J. Hebert Jr., and her parents Richard, J. Hebert, Sr. and Elizbeth "Bettye" Hebert. Dionne had a passion for needlecraft. She loved gifting her artwork to family and friends after spending countless hours stitching and pouring her heart and soul into each piece. Dionne was greeted in heaven by her brother, mother, and father only twelve days after being diagnosed with cancer. The family would love to extend immense gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff of Northside Hospital in Duluth, Georgia, especially the Strickland Family Medical, Dr. Donald Pham and Dr. I-Wen Chang for the compassion and empathy shown to our sister as well as to the staff of MeSun Health Services and Hospice, of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
